Charlie Gilmour once again played 90 minutes as SC Telstar beat Almere 1-0 in the Eerste Divisie, with a number of other Norwich City loanees having a weekend to forget for their respective clubs.
Gilmour has played every minute for the Dutch side as they won their first game since early September.
Elsewhere, Mason Bloomfield couldn't continue his goal-scoring run as he was substituted off in Crawley Town's 2-1 defeat by Bradford City.
Across the Atlantic, Caleb Richards was again involved for the Tampa Bay Rowdies, but their run without a victory continued as they were beaten 2-1 by Hartford Athletic in the USL Championship Eastern Conference.
Richards found himself in a right wing-back position, with Neil Collins tinkering with his starting eleven in search of a solution to the Rowdies poor form.
Louis Thompson was a late substitute in Shrewsbury Town's 0-0 draw with Lincoln City on Friday.
The Welshman is continuing to build up his fitness after injuries have stalled his progression at City.
Portsmouth were beaten 1-0 by struggling AFC Wimbledon in League One although Sean Raggett's defensive display was praised again.
Raggett continues to impress for Pompey, but calls for manager Kenny Jackett to be sacked are increasing, with Accrington Stanley's victory over Ipswich Town on Sunday meaning they drop to 18th in the table.
Also in League One, Carlton Morris' 72nd-minute introduction couldn't prevent defeat for Rotherham United as they were beaten 2-1 by Oxford at the New York Stadium.
In Scotland, Josh Coley played the majority of the second half as Dunfermline Athletic came from 2-1 behind to beat Ayr United 3-2 in the Scottish Championship.
Three of City's young operators were in FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round action this weekend, with Anthony Spyrou and Aston Oxborough in the hat for the first round proper whilst Alfie Payne and King's Lynn Town fell just short of reaching the draw.
The Linnets were beaten 1-0 by Nantwich Town as their dreams of a money-spinning cup clash were spoiled.
Oxborough's Wealdstone face a replay against Maidenhead United and Spyrou couldn't seal the victory for Chesterfield against Wrexham despite a couple of opportunities; both games ended 1-1.
Diallang Jaiyesimi returned from an ankle injury to come on in Swindon's 3-1 defeat at Crewe Alexandra in League Two, and Savvas Mourgos played 75 minutes in FC Dordrecht's 2-1 loss to Helmond Sport in Holland.
Players left on bench: James Husband (Blackpool), Simon Power (Ross County)
