Norwich City prepare for final transfer push

Norwich City remain open for business in the final throes of the transfer window, insists head coach Daniel Farke.
Sean Raggett was the latest addition unveiled on Friday, after the powerhouse defender signed a three year deal following his move from Lincoln City for an undisclosed fee.
City have been heavily linked with FC Union Berlin centre back Toni Leistner in recent weeks, and with Raggett staying on loan at the Imps until January, Farke is adamant the shutters will not come down just yet at Carrow Road ahead of the August 31 deadline.
“No, we are still awake because this is a signing for the future, not this window,” said Farke. “Like I said before I am really content with the squad. There is no pressure or we are forced to search for a special position but perhaps when there is a good option we will be awake. Sean is still a young player but he has improved from year to year. He is very good in the air, with a strong mentality and pretty motivated.
“Perhaps it is a little bit too soon to bring him right now to the Championship. We think it is good for him to play and have minutes right now and then we have the option in the winter to decide whether he is strong enough to join us.
“When you analyse the last season we conceded a lot of goals from headers. We had to be better in that area. Our philosophy is to press the opponent high so they will use long balls and we need guys who are good with the head.”
