Norwich City’s transfer window - how was it for you?

So how was it for you?
Norwich City fans went into deadline day fearing the worst – they have been given good reason after some of the deadline days experienced in the past.
The big fear was that Robbie Brady would be sacrificed for a decent fee and a cheap alternative would be brought in. Fortunately for supporters that’s not how things transpired.
In shelling out a reported £7m fee for Yanic Wildschut fans can’t accuse the City board of going down the cheap route - an accusation so often levelled at the Canaries hierarchy.
Norwich did lose a quality player in Brady, who joined Burnley for £11m but in bringing in Wildschut they have replaced the Republic of Ireland international with a player, who sees Norwich as a real step up.
Throw in Mitchell Dijks to the equation after the Ajax man completed his loan deal and suddenly that left hand side has a dynamic feel to it in spite of Martin Olsson’s departure for Swansea earlier in the window.
Sergi Canos’ exit to Brentford was expected but the Canaries recouped the £2.5m fee they gave Liverpool in the summer for the Spaniard.
Some fans think he wasn’t given enough of an opportunity at Carrow Road with the emergence of Jacob Murphy putting the youngster in the shade. Only time will tell if Canos was a missed opportunity
A real piece of interesting business was Carlton Morris’ loan move to Rotherham for the rest of the season. For the 19-year-old to have a Championship platform to showcase his striking abilities could be very good news for City in the long term.
