We continue our look through the top 100 players in Norwich City's appearance list, with Paddy Davitt recalling double player of the year Ken Foggo.

69 201 appearances/57 goals

Ken Foggo is part of that select group of Norwich City players who earned promotion to the English top flight for the first time in the club’s history.

The Perth-born winger was a terrace idol in the Ron Saunders-era that brought Foggo two player-of-the-year awards in three seasons and a Second Division winners’ medal in 1971/72. Foggo’s wing play would have been coveted nowadays; pacy, skilful and comfortable on either flank. ‘City one up through Foggo’ was a regular chant around Carrow Road and there is no doubt his prolific ratio of 57 goals in 197 starts was a fine tally for a wide player.

Norwich saw Foggo at his best during a six-year stint after initially starting his career at West Brom. Foggo was not part of John Bond’s plans and moved to Portsmouth in 1973 where he clocked up 60 appearances in a two-year stint. Southend was the last stop on his league career before later running his own cleaning business in East London.
