Leeds United have submitted a £15m bid for Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell according to reports.
Football Insider claim Marcelo Bielsa’s side have tabled a bid after scouting the England Under-21 international extensively last season.
Cantwell has been left out of Norwich’s squad for their Championship clash at Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon although that is said to be decision based on team selection and not surrounding the speculation around his future.
Cantwell has two years left on his Carrow Road deal after renewing terms last summer.
Meanwhile, Teemu Pukki’s immediate future appears to be sorted with the Finn set to stay with the Canaries despite interest from several Premier League clubs.
Wolves, Leeds, Aston Villa, West Brom and Sheffield United have all enquired about the Finland international this summer.
Pukki also has interest from Germany and Turkey but there have been no official approaches with the expectation Norwich’s asking price will be too high.
He also turned 30 this year meaning he will have little resale value which has also been an issue for some clubs.
But the Canaries will need to be challenging for promotion in January or they could lose him with the forward harbouring top-flight ambitions.
He signed a three-year deal 12 months ago and, while he is in no rush to leave Norfolk and is happy at Carrow Road, Pukki proved himself in the Premier League last term.
City are bracing themselves for more interest in Max Aarons before the end of the transfer window, which ends for overseas clubs on October 5 but domestic deals can still take place until October 16.
Barcelona appear to have beaten Bayern Munich to the signature of Ajax right back Sergino Dest, prompting questions whether the Germans will now switch their attention to City’s right back.
It has also been claimed that Moritz Leitner is talking to three Championship clubs in a report on PA.
