Fleetwood Town’s Amari’i Bell is the latest player to be linked with the left-back vacancy at Norwich City.
The Canaries have been strongly linked with a £4.3million deal for Sporting Lisbon’s Marvin Zeegelaar in recent days, following the £4.5m sale of Martin Olsson to Swansea earlier this week.
Following that exit, Bradford City’s James Meredith was also linked and the Daily Star have now thrown Birmingham City academy product Bell into the mix.
We understand the Canaries and Derby County have scouted the 22-year-old but have not yet made a bid for the defender, who has helped Fleetwood challenge for the play-off positions in League One so far this season, and would cost in the region of £1million.
Bell has played every minute of Fleetwood’s campaign so far this season, scoring two goals in 33 games. Whilst still with Birmingham the left-back spent time on loan at clubs including Gillingham and Swindon.
The Burton-born defender left the Blues permanently in the summer of 2015 and has since made 85 appearances for Fleetwood and is said to have started to find the confidence to allow his ability to shine through.
The Mirror are also claiming that Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are also interested in signing Bell during the January transfer window.
