Peru international right-back Luis Advincula has been linked with Premier League new boys Norwich City in his homeland.
El Bocon, a sports newspaper in the South American country, claim promoted sides City and Sheffield United have the 29-year-old on their radar.
Advincula has been capped 70 times by Peru and played every minute of his country's unsuccessful group stage campaign at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
He is much-travelled in the club game though, including time with Hoffenheim in Germany and Bursaspor in Turkey, and was just relegated from the Spanish top flight with Rayo Vallecano.
The report states he is due to return to Mexican club Tigres after that season-long loan, who hold his full-time registration, but that Advincula would prefer to stay in Europe - adding that he was close to joining West Ham in 2015.
The speedy right-back also helped Peru to finish third in the Copa America in 2011 and 2015 but fell out of favour at Vallecano towards the end of this season, with one goal and four assists from 27 La Liga games to his name.
VERDICT: Clearly a player with plenty of experience at decent levels but at 29 years old he wouldn't seem to fit the transfer criteria of the Canaries, although competition for Max Aarons will be needed with Ivo Pinto and Felix Passlack set to leave.
Seems more likely to be the case that the player and his agent are hoping to generate some Premier League interest.
