Sergi Canós appears to have sent out a 'come and get me' plea to Leeds United on Twitter.
The out-of-favour Norwich City winger has barely been involved since joining from Liverpool in a deal worth around £2.5million last summer and has recently been linked with a January exit.
Bristol City had competed for the Spaniard’s signature and have been linked with a fresh attempt, as have Brentford, who reportedly want to bring back the 19-year-old for a second loan spell after he scored seven goals in 38 games in the Championship for the Bees last season.
However speculation linking the former Barcelona academy player with a Leeds switch were ‘liked’ by the player on his Twitter account last night, including a Sky Sports article linking him with a move to Elland Road.
That report suggests Leeds want to sign Canós, despite talks already taking place with Brentford and the Canaries youngster favouring a return to Griffin Park.
It seems he would also be interested in joining Leeds’ promotion push but whether City boss Alex Neil would be keen to sell to a potential play-off rival could prove a very different matter.
Neil admitted at a press conference last Friday that the rapid improvement of Jacob Murphy had been the main reason for the Spanish winger’s lack of game time.
Canós has made just five appearances for the Norwich first team and has featured just once as a substitute since his only start, which came in a poor 3-0 defeat at Birmingham in late August.
