Another of Norwich City’s academy staff changes has been confirmed, with the previously reported exit of head of coaching Phil Church now announced.
Church’s name was among those reported to be leaving the academy earlier this month, alongside U23s assistant Darren Huckerby and head of recruitment Gregg Broughton.
Canaries legend Huckerby has since left and Church is the next exit to be confirmed, with City announcing a mutual agreement for Church to leave has been agreed.
A statement on the club’s website says: “The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Phil for his hard work and commitment throughout the past three seasons and for his coaching programme that was instrumental in securing Premier League Category One Status for the academy.
“Phil Church would like to take this opportunity to thanks the players, staff and supporters at Norwich City. Everybody at the club would like to wish Phil all the best for his future career.”
Church was a youth team goalkeeper at Norwich alongside Andy Marshall as a youngster but didn’t make the grade as a professional and became a coach for West Ham and the Professional Footballers Association before returning to Norfolk.
