Norwich City are taking no chances on being under-prepared for the League One season - after announcing their seventh first team friendly.

The Canaries' packed pre-season programme will now include a trip to Crystal Palace.

They will visit Selhurst Park on Tuesday, July 28 (7.30pm), in their penultimate warm-up game before the start of the new campaign - with City fans having to fork out £15 for a ticket.

Manager Bryan Gunn and Palace boss Neil Warnock have already been in contact since the end of the season to discuss possible transfer business, with Eagles striker Alan Lee keen to move to Carrow Road after his loan spell last season, and Warnock reported to be an admirer of City forward Wes Hoolahan with reports of a possible swap deal.

Gunn has admitted relegation to League One could make it more difficult to secure Lee's services, and the Palace boss confirmed last week that two Championship clubs had inquired about the 30-year-old striker.

“I have spoken to Neil Warnock and asked him to keep me in touch with what's happening and I am happy he will do,” said Gunn.

“I know there are Championship clubs interested with transfer funds available.”

Whatever transpires on the transfer front, Palace and City will meet in a match sandwiched between the Carrow Road visits of a Manchester United XI and Premier League club Wigan Athletic.

Tickets for the game at Palace are £15 for adults and £5 for under-16s and senior citizens. There will also be a family ticket priced at £32 (two adults and two juniors with the ability to add further under-16 concessions at £1 each).

City fans can buy seats from next Monday, June 1, from Carrow Road and the Canary Store, The Mall, or by calling 0844 826 1902.

Final arrangements are being made for the Canaries' tour of Scotland, including a visit to Raith Rovers on July 14, with opposition still to be confirmed for July 16 and 18.

Tickets for the home friendlies against the United XI and Wigan are now on sale from the ticket office and by calling 0844 826 1902.

And from June 1 tickets for the Dartford game at Princes Park on July 11 will be available from the Darts' ticket hotline - 01322 299 990 or 01322 299 991 - at £10 (£5 concessions, £1 children) and payment can be made by credit or debit cards.

City reserve and youth strength sides also have three pre-season games against Ridgeons League opposition - at Fakenham, Dereham and Thetford.
