Three second-half goals in just 10 minutes saw visitors Leicester City master the blustery conditions to take all three points at Colney this afternoon.

Ricky Martin's side led at half- time through a Nick Davey goal, and after they controlled the first 45 minutes it seemed only a matter of time before they would extend their lead after the break.

The turning point came on 66 minutes when the visitors made a triple substitution and it was two of the subs who scored the three goals. Martin was without the services of four players away on international duty, while the Academy manager gave a start to trialist Neil Johnston.

City started brightly with the front pairing of Davey and Danny Kelly combining well to send in a low cross that Johnbull Omoregie put over the bar from close range.

At the other end Billy Kee should have done better when he failed to hit the target after brushing off a challenge to get a shot away. Kee again squandered a good opportunity when he missed an open goal after City keeper Sam Grieveson came off his line but failed to collect the ball.

Davey then went close on two occasions. The first after good work by strike partner Kelly, the second after a right-wing cross from Johnston.

On 31 minutes, City opened the scoring after Omoregie fed the ball through to DAVEY who beat his marker before placing his shot beyond the reach of Foxes keeper Danny Whatside.

The visitors looked to hit back before the break and it needed an important challenge from George Francomb to clear the danger.

Leicester set their game up after the break as they took full advantage of the blustery conditions.

On 66 minutes Leicester made a triple substitution and it soon paid dividends when JEFF SCHLUPP rounded Grieveson and then a defender before firing the ball into an empty net. Two minutes later and SCHLUPP fired the visitors into the lead as Norwich struggled to respond. Martin introduced Kenny Reeves into attack but then Leicester's OLIVER NORBURN netted.

It was better news for Dean Rastricks' under 16s who beat their Leicester City counterparts 3-2 with Patrick Drmole scoring two goals for the Canaries.
