Robbie Brady completed a deadline night move to Premier League Burnley for an undisclosed fee, believed to be a club record sale for Norwich City.

The Republic of Ireland international has signed a three-and-a-half year deal, with a further year’s option, to join the Clarets in a move that was officially confirmed during half-time of Burnley’s Premier League game against Leicester City.

Brady travelled to the north-west earlier on Tuesday to finalise the deal and undergo a medical after Alex Neil sanctioned the Irishman’s departure. City have brought in Ajax left-back Mitchell Dijks following the exits of Brady and Martin Olsson in this transfer window.

Brady attracted interest from a number of top flight clubs and leaves after scoring seven goals in 62 appearances for the Canaries.

Former club, Hull City, is entitled to 25pc of the profit on City’s original deal to bring Brady from Humberside.
