Norwich City have announced date changes for seven of their fixtures for the upcoming Championship season, including moving both derby fixtures with Ipswich to midday kick-offs on a Sunday.

The first home league match of the campaign is also affected, being pushed back a day to a 1.30pm kick-off on Sunday, August 13, due to Sunderland being in televised action against Bury in the Carabao Cup on Thursday, August 10.

The knock-on effect of that change is that City’s next game, at home to QPR, has been bumped back 24 hours, to 7.45pm on Wednesday, August 16.

As expected, the Ipswich games will again be midday kick-offs on Sundays, which has often been the case in recent years due to safety demands from police and security officials at both clubs.

The second of those matches against Ipswich, at Carrow Road on Sunday, February 18, means City’s trip to Wolves has been pushed back 24 hours, to Wednesday, February 21 (7.45pm).

The Canaries clash with Brentford at Carrow Road shortly before Christmas has been moved forward a day to Friday, December 22 (7.45pm) and Fulham’s trip to Norfolk has also been brought forward a day so that it falls on the Good Friday bank holiday, to a 3pm kick-off on Friday, March 31.

More changes could be on the way on Monday as well, with the next round of Football League fixtures selected for live broadcast by Sky Sports set to be announced.

The EFL will announce those details at 11am on Monday, for matches up until Saturday, September 9, having already confirmed matches which will be broadcast on the opening weekend.
