Danel Sinani says England is the place to be for a footballer – and that he had no hesitation making Norwich his next step.

The Luxembourg international was initially linked with the Canaries in January, and has now put pen to paper on a deal that will see him arrive on a free transfer in the summer.

“We thought about it as a family,” said Sinani. “But you only have to watch the Premier League matches on TV to see the intensity.

“Watch all the matches; England, if you want to progress, that’s where you have to be. It is obvious, I am happy to land in this league because it is not easy to enter it.

“It’s the best league in the world so I didn’t have to hesitate long. With Norwich, it was concrete, I quickly knew it was worth it.

“I simply signed the contract and returned everything by mail.”

Sinani visited Colney during the January window - and recalls a conversation he had with Daniel Farke.

“I met him. He explained some things to me, showed how he works,” Sinani told Le Quotidien.

“He received me well. Afterwards, where does he see me on the ground, how, why, it is up to me to show it. But he still has one to two years of contract so it will be with him.”

The 22-year-old has impressed in for F91 Dudelange throughout this curtailed campaign, but says City’s interest can be tracked back to last season.

“Norwich already had me on their radar since last season but after these six new months of competition in the Europa League, they analysed my profile in more detail, to see what my style was.

“I went there at the start of the year because they really wanted to take me this winter. It didn’t happen and we had to wait a few more months but in terms of infrastructure, there is not much to say: it’s professional and you just need to focus on your football.”

The winger netted 14 goals in 16 league fixtures for Dudelange and is hoping to bow out in Luxembourg by delivering a league title and European qualification for his current club.

Sinani is now preparing for all circumstances, but is prepared to help City rebuild in the Championship if they get relegated.

“Well, they are last, it can happen and yes, they are likely to come down.

“But they will rebuild a team to go back up immediately.”
