City could field their youngest FA Cup debutant if 16-year-old Michael Spillane gets on to the field against West Ham tomorrow.

Spillane, who can operate in midfield or in defence, may get a place on the bench because of the Canaries' shortage of senior players.

If he plays, at 16 years 290 days, he will be just eight days older than City's youngest ever senior player, Ryan Jarvis, when he made his debut in a league match at Walsall in 2003. But Spillane would still be the youngest to taste FA Cup action for the club.
