Finland and Teemu Pukki's hopes of automatic qualification for Euro 2020 suffered a setback after going down to a 4-1 defeat at Bosnia Herzegovina on Saturday evening.

The City striker played the whole game and was booked late on during Finland's defeat although they remain in second place in Group J behind Italy.

Izet Hajrovic opened the scoring in the 29th minute for Bosnia before Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic took centre stage with a double and then Armin Hodzic made it 4-0. Bayer Leverkusen striker Joel Pohjanpalo grabbed a late consolation in the 79th minute for Finland.

Finland will be hoping to get back to winning ways on Tuesday evening when they entertain Armenia, who sit two points behind them in third.

Pukki's fellow City striker Josip Drmic was also in international action, albeit briefly, as Switzerland lost to Denmark 1-0.

RB Leipzig forward Youssuf Poulsen struck the winner in the 84th minute and Drmic couldn't rescue a point for his side when he was sent on four minutes later.

Switzerland sit in third place in Group D, four points behind the Danes but with a game in hand, ahead of their home clash against leaders Ireland on Tuesday.
