Smith, 18, captains the side facing Wroxham in a friendly at Carrow Road (7.30pm) - a line-up that also includes first team defenders Adam Drury and Adrian Leijer and striker Cody McDonald.

There is no place, however, for out-of-favour senior trio Mark Fotheringham, Matty Pattison and Jamie Cureton.

City Reserves - Nelson, Francomb, Eagle, Drury, Leijer, Lathrope, Smith, Adeyemi, Kelly, McDonald, Daley. Subs: Omoregie, Clarke, Matthews, Davey.
