Ipswich Town completed the double over the Canaries when they ran out 2-0 winners at Colney today.

Two late goals for the visitors was rough justice for Ricky Martin's side as they had more than enough opportunities to wrap the game up before Town took the lead on 75 minutes.

Martin named schoolboys Tom Adeyemi and Manny Richardson in his starting line up while goalkeeper Jed Steer, who joins up with the England U16 squad tomorrow, was on the substitutes bench.

City started brightly with Richardson giving the Town defence all sorts of problems down the left flank although his two early efforts on goal went somewhat wide of the mark.

Korey Smith however went somewhat closer with a looping effort that Lewis Ward in the Town goal was grateful to see go just inches wide of the far post.

Damon Lathrope should have done better with a volley that Ward collected comfortably as Town struggled to get out of their own half during the first 45 minutes. The Canaries started the second half in much the same way with Adeyemi sending in a delightful cross that Smith could not get on target.

Shortly after Town had their first real attempt on goal when Billy Clark sent in a header that City captain Paul McLean had to clear off the line.

Jack Ainsley worked his way into a shooting position only for Ross Kelly to make a timely tackle as Ipswich came more and more into the game.

City were somewhat unlucky with 20 minutes left on the clock when Luke Daley saw an effort come back off the post but just five minutes later City found themselves a goal adrift when Ainsley raced clear down the right to send in a low cross that Kurt ROBINSON finished off at the far post.

Before City could gather themselves Town made it two on 80 minutes with the same combination but this time it was Robinson who supplied the cross for AINSLEY to fire home. City still had time to try and get on the score sheet but both Adeyemi and Danny Kelly failed to get their shots on target.
