City boss Peter Grant said his players would be fully prepared for their FA Cup fourth round trip to Blackpool.

He admitted he would have preferred a home tie, but said it would be a challenge they would relish.

“It's another away game, which is disappointing, but it will still be an exciting tie and a challenge for us,” he told the club's official website.

“I already know quite a bit about Blackpool. I've been involved in games against them when I was at Bournemouth and I am familiar with their new stadium.”

Grant said he was aware of the quality Blackpool possessed in their side.

“In Andy Murrell, Keigan Parker and the lad Ben Burgess they have players capable of scoring goals so we will do our homework properly and if we show the same professionalism, performance and attitude we did at Tamworth then we will have the best chance of getting the right result.

“I can assure you we will certainly be ready for the challenge and we're looking forward to it.”
