Ex-Norwich City midfielder Wes Hoolahan has been named in the EFL team of the decade, with over 60,000 votes being cast on social media by supporters.

The Irishman played 139 games for the Canaries in the Championship this decade, scoring 22 goals.

Hoolahan was a pivotal member of City's class of 2010/11 as they secured promotion to the Premier League, a year after winning the League One title.

Paul Lambert moved Hoolahan into the attacking midfield role and extracted his quality, with City the beneficiaries of his talent.

Hoolahan was a major protagonist in the Canaries Play-Off winning season, with the highlight being a converted penalty in the second leg of the semi-final against bitter rivals Ipswich Town.

His last City goal came against Leeds United in April 2018 as he signed off from duty in Norfolk.
Ex-City loanee Jordan Rhodes was also named in the team, partnering Sheffield United's Billy Sharp up-front.

Rhodes was a popular figure during his loan stint in Norfolk last season, with his contribution enough to convince supporters that he should have been given the chance to return permantently last summer.

The Scot scored six goals in 36 league games for the Canaries but was mostly an understudy to the prolific Teemu Pukki as City were crowned champions.

Manchester United's Harry Maguire, Leicester City's Wes Morgan and Newcastle United's Matt Ritchie also make the side.
