Norwich City's Academy side were denied a point when a last gasp Robbie Parry goal gave Wolverhampton Wanderers a 2-1 win, despite Jamar Loza putting the Canaries ahead in a close fought encounter.
Ricky Martin’s side had started the match well, getting their reward in the first-half through a Loza penalty. The young striker continuing his fine start to the season, after netting two goals in the 5-0 win over Middlesbrough Academy on August 20.
The City Academy were pegged back during the second half though, as Liam McAlinden got his name on the scoresheet and made it 1-1.
Despite having their own chances, City then fell victim to Parry’s goal deep into stoppage time as Wolves claimed a 2-1 victory, when a draw would have been the fair result.
Acadamy Manager, Martin said afterwards: “I’m disappointed to lose with virtually the last kick of the game, as I thought it was a really even game, and a draw would probably have been a fair result.
“In the end it was a lack of concentration that cost us the point.”
