Thanks Andrew, and good luck at Dons

There are two matters off the pitch which have caught my attention these past few days.

The first concerns the pending departure of our director of sales and marketing Andrew Cullen.

There are two matters off the pitch which have caught my attention these past few days.

The first concerns the pending departure of our director of sales and marketing Andrew Cullen.

Andrew's contribution has been described elsewhere as massive and there can be little doubt that MK Don's gain is our loss.

However, Andrew does leave behind a legacy of “sell out” season tickets, which has lead to near capacity crowds, week in week out plus “the family” orientation which is so vital to our future.

After 10 years plus, I can understand Andrew's desire to seek a new challenge elsewhere and I would like to think that I can write on behalf of all Canary fans when I say a big thank you to Andrew and his team for all that you have achieved at Carrow Road during this time.

We wish you, and Jacqui, every success and happiness at MK Dons and then console ourselves that it could have been much much worse if they had thrown their lot in with the Tractor Boys!

The other news off the pitch was the launching of the Norwich City Kitty which has been devised by Canary fan Iain Walpole.

If you do not already know, it is a scheme which will allow all supporters to contribute, on a regular basis, to a fund which will be passed on to the club to bolster their kitty to acquire new players as and when the need arises.

Full details can be found on their website: www norwichcitykitty.co.uk although I would say to Iain that there is still a fair percentage of supporters who still rely on snail mail!

Finally, I just hope that the players started today's game where they left off at Cardiff and that we have gained our first win of the season and got three points in the bag.
