Around 150 primary school and college students took part in a community football day at Norwich City Football Club.

Pupils from schools across Norfolk visited Carrow Road for a day of football coaching, challenges and a tournament.

The event was hosted by Anglian Home Improvements, in partnership with the Community Sports Foundation (CSF), as part of its sponsorship agreement with the club.

As well as having the chance to improve their ball skills and stamina, year six students from Acle Academy were given the opportunity to be journalists. They were tasked with writing a report of the morning’s football action. In the afternoon, around 100 Norwich CSF college students competed in a knockout tournament.

Laura Gorman, a teacher at Cringleford CE VA Primary School, said: “There was a high level of excitement all week in the lead-up to today which continued onto the pitch.”
