Josh Sargent has clarified comments over his future made during the international break by insisting he is 'happy' at Norwich City.
The American international panicked Canaries supporters after an interview published in the Guardian during the March hiatus that contained a quote about having a 'decision' to make over his Carrow Road future this summer.
Sargent was the match-winner again in City's 1-0 victory over West Brom on Saturday - his 18th goal contribution in 25 Championship matches.
Clubs in the MLS, Premier League and further afield are expected to show interest in Sargent this summer, but City's striker remains happy at the club and insisted he isn't pushing for an exit from the club this summer.
"I'm pretty sure in the first half of that interview I said, 'I have a contract here at Norwich.' I'm very happy. My family's very happy here," Sargent said.
"It was in no way saying that I'm definitely gone at the end of the season. I'm very happy with the manager of the team. I was just trying to say there will be options. But that's not to say that I'm definitely leaving.
"It's a decision that me and my family are going to have to make. Obviously, the team has to agree to me even leaving in the first place. So as of now, I'm very happy here.
"With that interview, I didn't try to come off in a bad way. It's become home for my family, and the fans are amazing to me all the time. I have nothing but good things to say about this place.
"I think it came off a bit in the wrong way. I didn't want to upset anybody like that."
"I haven't had any discussions with him about that, to be honest," said Sargent. "When he first came in, we had a good talk. He just asked how things were going at Norwich, and I said good. They're always keeping in touch and always watching the game.
"In terms of going to another club in my future, he hasn't said anything about that."
