Milot Rashica has completed his move from Norwich City to Besiktas.

The Kosovan international signs a four-year contract with the Istanbul club, bringing an end to his two years at Carrow Road.

Besiktas confirmed the total transfer fee for the deal is €5.25m (£4.5m) in their official club announcement.

Rashica was at the centre of a summer long transfer saga involving Istanbul rivals Galatasaray, after a season long loan move ended in a Turkish Super Lig title.

But the 27-year-old opted to join Besiktas, who finished third last season, 10 points behind champions Gala.

Besiktas stepped up their interest since the start of the Championship season, after Gala were unable to meet City's valuation in protracted close-season discussions.

Rashica was given permission by the Canaries to board a private plane from Norwich airport on Tuesday to finalise his Carrow Road exit.

The Turkish club confirmed they were in advanced negotiations with Norwich, and the player's camp, before he touched down on Tuesday night.

Rashica returned to David Wagner's squad at their Austrian pre-season training base, after a delayed finish to his previous season for Gala and Euro qualifiers for Kosovo.

But Wagner made it clear before Saturday's 4-4 Championship draw at Southampton he would not be in his plans this month while he completed his pre-season fitness programme.

Rashica departs having made 40 appearances for Norwich City, scoring just twice and making two assists, following a big-money move from Werder Bremen in 2021.

He will wear number 11 for the Black Eagles.
