It was great to see Ashley Barnes back against QPR and, although he started on the bench against Watford, it wasn’t a shock; you couldn’t really expect him to start two games in four having been out for two months.

I think he needs to be having a word with some of the lads after Watford the other night. A few of the lads didn’t do anywhere near enough on the night and one or two should be nowhere near that side.

Having won their last two games, to go 2-0 up at Vicarage Road after just 12 minutes, Norwich supporters must have been in seventh heaven. Sadly, that's as good as it got.

To throw that game away is inexcusable and players need to have a long, hard look at themselves in the mirror.

David Wagner will get the stick for that loss, he picked the team but, as I said, there are some players that should never be anywhere near that starting XI.

To be fair to the manager, he doesn’t tell players not to close down, he doesn’t tell his players to stand off the opposition and let them shoot at will at George Long’s goal who in my opinion was at fault for two of the three goals. He doesn’t instruct his players to let wide men have the freedom of Vicarage Road to cross the ball.

It's simple, they need to work so much harder out of possession. Players simply need to take responsibility when they are on the pitch and stop hiding behind the manager and let him take all the stick as long as they don’t.

Before Watford I was surprised by the apathy that remained amongst a lot of supporters. I suppose there’s just no pleasing some people. Having taken just one point from the previous six games, four points from their last nine games prior to the win at the Cardiff City Stadium you’d have thought everyone would have been delighted with the victory.

Sadly, no, there was still supporters moaning “we got lucky, how can we concede two goals to those lot?”

Before the win last weekend against QPR, Norwich had won just three points from their previous five games at Carrow Road so you’d have thought people would have just been happy with the three points but some people still left unhappy!

I get it. It wasn’t a great performance against a team that hadn’t won in 12 Championship games but when you’ve been bang average since the beginning of September you’ll take anything that comes your way.

I heard people say we only had one shot on target. It might have been Norwich’s only shot on Asmir Begovic’s goal but what a strike it was. A great ball from Gabriel Sara, top class movement from Hwang Ui-jo, an even better first touch and, to top it all off, a delightful finish for only his second goal in a Norwich shirt.

George Long kept his first clean sheet in his six appearances and Norwich’s first since the end of September. I know some people won't see them but there were some positives to take from these back-to-back wins. The sad thing is some Norwich supporters would have rather seen the team lose if it meant Wagner losing his job!

Danny Batth has come into the team in the last three games and done okay. He even got his first goal for the club on Tuesday night, but however way you look at it he’s been part of a back five, including Long, who’ve conceded six goals which isn’t good enough. As it stands only Rotherham have conceded more goals than Norwich.

I think Danny reads situations really well. He sees dangerous situations very early and puts himself in good defensive areas in Norwich’s final third to stop the opposition from scoring.

People will point the finger of blame for Watford's second goal the other night at him but in all fairness there's nothing Batth can do once Jamal Lewis’s cross takes a slight deflection straight onto the head of Mileta Rajovic. I think he’s a good communicator and organiser but being one of the more experienced pros in this squad he needs to be putting more demands on some of his team mates.
