Norwich City youngster Brad Hills continued his impressive start to life at Accrington Stanley with a brace in their loss to Swindon Town on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old centre-back scored both goals in stoppage time, dispatching two volleys impressively after adopting a temporary attacking position.

That switch was based purely on instinct rather than instruction from Reds boss Jon Coleman, as Hills revealed post-match.

"I kind of made that decision myself," he said. "It's one of them, we knew if we got one they'd fall back and they'd fall back and they'd drop a bit, and they did."

The Lancashire side weren't able to haul themselves level, however, despite having come from 4-0 down in the 92nd minute to make the scoreline much more respectable.

"It's all about the three points, or even a point," Hills continued. "It's nice to score goals, but we want to win games really.

"It's just one of those games really, it's just disappointing that we couldn't get the last one, because we came so close."

The Norfolk native is confident Stanley can turn things around, after a poor run of form that's seen just one win in their last eight games.

He's already played 24 times since arriving at the Wham Stadium in what's been a positive loan, but now feels an important learning curve kicking in.

"We're always working hard in training," he said. "We're not in our best spell at the moment and we know that, but everyone's willing to put in the effort, to work hard, and we are doing that. It will come together eventually.

"It's not always going to be happy, and you're not always going to win every game. That's not what the league's about, we're not robots.

"But it's all learning. You're going to win some, you're going to lose some, and it's all about how you react.

"We've got a massive cup game, against a League One side, so that'll be a really good test. It's another chance to get a win, and try to keep a clean sheet and get back to our winning form."
