David Wagner had his say on the key issues after Norwich City's lifeless 0-0 Championship draw against Preston North End at Carrow Road.

The Canaries were unable to follow up a dramatic stoppage time win at Bristol City with another victory on home soil in a game of few clear-cut chances.

Liam Gibbs sidefooted off-target from inside the penalty box in the second half, before Shane Duffy's 87th minute header struck Preston captain, Alan Browne, on his own goalline and dropped behind.

The visitors hit the woodwork earlier in the second through Ben Whiteman's rising close range effort.

Wagner spoke exclusively to the Pinkun on Saturday afternoon.

"The result is obviously frustrating. Performance, defensively, was good," he said. "The counter-press was very good. We nailed them in their final third. I think there would have been no complaints if we had won the game from.

"What we haven't done is we lacked a little bit creativity in the final third. And obviously, we were not ruthless. In a game like this, it can happen that you don't create nine or 10 clear-cut chances. So you have to make sure that you at least create two or three, which we had.

"Then you have to make sure that you at least use one, and this is what we haven't done. This is why obviously the result is frustrating. I can see the good things which the players have shown. But we clearly discussed already (in the changing room) what we have to do better.

"And obviously, this is what we have to add and keep what we have done well as well."
