Norwich City legend Alex Tettey has landed a new coaching role with Norwegian side Rosenborg.
The Canaries legend moved back to his homeland after his nine year spell at Carrow Road ended in 2021 - he subsequently joined Rosenborg as a player before moving into academy coaching.
Tettey began and ended his playing career with Rosenborg, rising through their academy before joining French side Rennes. From there, he joined Norwich in 2012 as one of Chris Hughton's first signings as City boss.
He was a consistent member of City sides moving forward, making 263 appearances for the club - over 100 of those came in the Premier League.
Since moving back to Norway, Tettey has been part of the coaching staff for Rosenborg's under 18 side, working closely with Roger Naustan.
After the arrival of highly rated Alfred Johansson from F.C. Copenhagen, Tettey has been promoted from the academy to become one of his assistant managers alongside Jordi Gonzalez - who worked with the former Norwich midfielder in the Norway set-up.
Rosenborg finished ninth in Eliteserien, winning just 11 of their 30 matches throughout the campaign. That has seen a shift in management staff with Tettey now joining the top team ahead of the new campaign that kicks off next month.
Discussing his promotion to Johansson's staff, Tettey believes a shared outlook on the game will make it an easy transition.
"A coaching team has come in that plays a football that I know very well.
"Then it's fun to be able to be part of the start of influencing the players to succeed within the underlying philosophy.

"We haven't had enough time to get to know each other yet. I know Jordi a little from before from my time on the Norwegian national team, while the conversations I have had with Alfred have been very positive.
"You get to know people in a short time without having so many conversations," Tettey told Rosenborg channels. "The first impression is important, and you get a good impression when you talk to Alfred.
