Norwich City must set the agenda from the first whistle as they attempt to halt the Ipswich Town juggernaut in one of the most highly-anticipated East Anglian derby days in years.

The visitors are top of the table by just a point, have won nine of their last 10 games and have scored more goals than any other team in the Championship.

The Canaries - desperate to hold down a play-off place – are unbeaten in their last 12 games at Carrow Road, where they have won their last seven.

For both teams, the Saturday lunchtime clash is as big as it gets.

Canaries legend Darren Huckerby has tasted victory and suffered defeat at the hands of the old enemy – and has some sage advice for the class of 2024.

“It’s down to us to set the agenda,” said Huckerby. “It's down to us to really push the game and go after them. I think if we sit back, we'll get beat, because they put too many men forward. It's up to us – we’ve got to put them on the back foot, we've got to be aggressive. We've got to get (Josh) Sargent running the channels and then when it comes to making a few blocks, you've got to make a few blocks. But it's going to be a tough game, they're top of the league for a reason.”

Sargent will be key for City – he has scored in his last nine Carrow Road appearances and has formed a healthy working relationship with the experienced Ashley Barnes.

“You’ve got to have belief in your team-mates,” said Huckerby. “We've got to get straight at Ipswich. We've got players that can hurt them. We need Ashley Barnes to be nasty and do what he does and we need Sargent to produce the goods.”
