Gabriel Sara knows there are plenty of twists and turns left as the Championship play-off race reaches its climax.

A 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday left Norwich City frustrated having led 2-0 at Hillsborough, but Coventry's loss at Southampton meant they extended their top-six cushion to five points nonetheless, with only four regular-season games left to play.

Sara admitted post-match that he was following results elsewhere, but feels the end product is hard to predict even now.

“I went to the changing room and looked at the results and it was kind of relief,” he said. “But, at the same time, we still have to think about ourselves.

“You never know what’s going to count for what. We now have four games to be our best and to play our best. This year is crazy, you feel like you don’t know what’s going to happen in the future.

“You don’t know who’s going to get relegated, who’s going to win the league, who’s going to be in the play-offs. That’s why we have to be at our best, always playing better football. We’ll try to win every point possible."

The Canaries have lost just twice since the start of February and head into a crunch meeting with Preston this weekend in good form despite the disappointing draw in Yorkshire.

“We’re in really good shape right now,” Sara continued. “We’ve had bad moments this season, and definitely now it’s much better.

“We have to keep this in our minds. We’re living in a good moment and you have to enjoy this moment. We’re trying to do our best to reach our targets.

“We move on. We’ll talk to each other, see where we made the mistakes and move on. We know this game was important, we got one point, let’s see what we can do with this one point.

“We’ll go to Saturday and try to get three, and keep going for the next one as well.”
