Norwich City talent Kellen Fisher has extended his Carrow Road stay until 2028 after signing a new contract with the Canaries.
Included in the four-year deal is a club option for a further 12 months, with City's latest commitment to young players coming just over a year after Fisher joined them from non-league Bromley.
The 20-year-old was initially signed for Alan Neilson's under-21 group, but has made a significant impact on the first team. He was moved to the senior group early in his Norwich career, making 14 senior appearances last term after impressing in pre-season.
He's taken that a step further under new head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup, who started him in a Championship game for the first time in Saturday's 4-1 defeat of Watford.
Fisher also captained the side during July's 3-0 friendly win over Northampton, and has been called up to the English Elite League Squad (previously under-20s) twice.
He's seen as a big part of City's long-term future behind the scenes, with sporting director Ben Knapper's focus on developing young players key to their strategy.
"We are delighted to reward Kellen’s progress over the past 15 months with this new contract," he said, speaking to official channels.
"He has accelerated his own pathway here, and his development has been clear for all to see. His approach to his work every single day is absolutely first class, and we couldn’t be happier with him.
"I must also congratulate our recruitment department, as Kellen really was a fantastic find. He is now an important part of our group and someone that we are committed to working with for the foreseeable future.
"We are all looking forward to seeing him continue to go from strength to strength."
Fisher added: "I'm really happy. It's a really proud moment for me and my family to extend my stay here and hopefully a lot more good moments.
"If you would have said to me two years ago that I'd be playing here in front of 26,000, I would have said you were lying.
"It's been a big step up, but it's something I'm really proud of. I've always had that goal in my head, so hopefully now I can kick on and show more."
