Alex McLeish couldn't make up his mind post-match - whether it was a point won or two lost.

"Norwich played a compact game first half and put us under pressure," said the Birmingham manager. "They played well, we struggled to break them down and we were fortunate to go in 1-0 up at the break.

"But you can never fault our lads for their desire and determination and it's because we kept plugging away that we got the goal.

"At half-time we said it was important to maintain the lead and not do anything silly and within 40 seconds or so of the second half we let them level. That was really poor.

"But we got better as the game went by. We manufactured two gilt-edged opportunities in the final couple of minutes and very nearly grabbed all three points. They were the kind of chances you have to take at this level and I should be sat here talking about picking up another three points.

"However, on balance, a draw was probably a fair result."
