Max Aarons is the last of the Norwich City players left in the England Under-21 squad and the right-back has unfinished business to take care of on the international stage.
The Canaries starlet was named man of the match during his last appearance for the Young Lions, winning a second cap during a 2-0 win in Kosovo.
However, he was forced off with 10 minutes remaining after injuring his ankle making a goal-saving block during that Euro 2021 qualifying win in Hull.
That kept Aarons out of two Premier League games but he returned to Daniel Farke's team for the last two matches, with fellow right-back Sam Byram having an ankle issue of his own.
With Ben Godfrey missing out on U21 action during the current international break because he needed minor surgery on a hernia, and with Todd Cantwell pulling out yesterday to protect his tight hamstring, Aarons has reassured Canaries fans that he is fully fit.
"It's felt really good since I've come back, to be fair," he said ahead of tonight's friendly in Slovenia (5pm UK time). "So a really quick recovery, not what I expected."
Qualifying continues against Austria in Milton Keynes on Tuesday (7.45pm), with Aidy Boothroyd's squad going into the game looking to maintain their 100 percent record in Group Three so far, having kicked off with a 3-2 win in Turkey.
Aarons is also going into the game looking to shake off the disappointment of City's shock 5-1 home loss to Aston Villa on Saturday.
"I'm going to be disappointed for a few days, as all the lads are but it is a time when we've got a few days to get our heads around things and come back fresh next week," the 19-year-old said in the wake of that defeat.
"Going in now and we've got a friendly and a good game coming up against Austria. So hopefully we can take that momentum in, as we've got two wins already."

It's still little more than a year since the former Luton Town trainee made the breakthrough into first-team football at Norwich, winning seven England U19 caps during last season.
After a difficult start to top-flight life, with City losing six of their opening eight games to slip into the relegation zone, Aarons is loving the challenge of trying to establish himself in the one of the best leagues in world football.
"As much as it's really disappointing, I'm relishing performing on this stage in games like this," he continued.
"These are experiences that are good for me personally, being so young, but obviously you want to get as many wins as you can
"So it's obviously disappointing but I'm loving playing at this level and in this league, it's brilliant."
