Two goals in the last 20 minutes ensured that the lads bounced back against Bolton on Saturday after the disappointment of losing at Sunderland three days earlier.

It was the most perfect response from the lads that anyone could have wished for.

It could and probably should have been a bit more comfortable as there were a few chances missed but all credit to them. They kept on going right to the end, as they normally do, and fair play to both Andrew Surman and Anthony Pilkington. Having missed two very good chances in the game they didn’t drop their heads and hide and, like all good players, when the next chance came their way they were there ready to tuck them away.

That moved the Canaries up to ninth in the Premier League with 32 points. In my opinion they are two wins away from staying in the top flight of English football for another season.

What a game we have in store tomorrow afternoon and I’m so disappointed I’m not making the long journey across country to South West Wales.

I’ve got to go to work at the Leicester City v Cardiff City game which is quite a bit closer and will give me a good opportunity to have a look at Norwich’s opponents in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Both Norwich and Swansea have been superb all season, proving many people wrong when they predicted that both promoted clubs would go straight back down after just one season in the Premier League.

They have played top-quality attacking football in every game they have gone into and up to now have got their just rewards being ninth and tenth, respectively, in the league.

Last season at the Liberty Stadium the lads were well beaten 3-0 but I’ve a feeling it’s going to be a much tighter encounter tomorrow.

I do think the Swans will go into the game as slight favourites as they have been outstanding on their own patch all season having only lost once against the champions Manchester United.

In fact, 21 of their 32 points have come at home and in their last three home games they’ve beaten Arsenal, should have beaten Chelsea, who scored with the last kick of the game to win themselves a point, and got a point against a very good Spurs side. To be fair, Paul Lambert’s lads have lost only one of their last six away games so they will go into the game with the belief that they can return to Norfolk with a positive result. I think one thing for certain about this game is that there will be goals. Norwich will have to defend as a team to keep out the likes of Scott Sinclair, Nathan Dyer and in particular Danny Graham who didn’t score in his first five appearances but has now scored a very credible 10 goals.

One thing is for sure. The Premier League is a much better league with both these clubs and with Paul Lambert and Brendan Rodgers – two young, hungry and talented managers – in it.
