Former Canaries hero Darren Huckerby had his first face-to-face US Major Soccer League battle with David Beckham last night - and came out the victor.
Huckerby laid on San Jose Earthquake's opening goal for Arturo Alvarez against Beckham's LA Galaxy in the California derby before getting the second himself five minutes before half-time. Beckham helped start a revival by laying on a swift reply for Landon Donovan and Edson Buddle equalised midway through the second half - only for Ryan Cochrane to snatch a last minute winner for the Earthquakes - knocking in the rebound after Huckerby's shot had been saved by the Galaxy keeper.
