Hellesdon Belles 2, Attleborough 1
Hellesdon Belles kicked off the new season with a fine win in the seven-a-side league.
The hosts started brightly and kept Boro in their own half. It was Ali Heasman who opened the scoring with a well-taken goal.
In the second half more chances came with Cath Heslin coming closest with a one on one and then a header grazing the bar. Oli Kober made it 2-0 from Cath’s long throw.
Boro reshuffled and came back very strongly but the defence and midfield battled for every ball.
Boro did get one back in the second half then Cath hit a post with a fine shot.
Final score 2-1, a fabulous team effort with Cath getting player of the match.
Belles’ next league game is at home against Thetford on October 9.
