Gorleston Rangers Ladies played a good Aylsham side.
With not too many chances in first half by both teams most of possesion was in midfield and when either side looked like getting breakthrough both sets of defenders were clearing up.
It was 0-0 at half time.
Gorleston took the lead with a well-worked goal which was calmly finished, giving the goalie no chance.
Aylsham kept pushing forward but it didn’t look like it was going to be their day until a mix-up and Gorleston gave away a scrappy goal but Aylsham’s player never gave up and managed to tuck it in to make final score 1-1.
Well done to both sets of players. Gorleston just need to comunicate more to avoid unnecessary errors.
They have a big game on Sunday at Taverham in the cup.
The message to the team is to play as a unit and encourage each other, give the team manager all you’ve got and heads up.
