Norwich City will not win the Championship title if they beat Blackburn this evening, thanks to Sheffield United beating relegated Ipswich Town 2-0 at Bramall Lane.

The Blades have claimed top spot with their victory, courtesy of a better goal difference than Norwich, knocking Daniel Farke’s team from the position they have dominated during the second half of the season.

Goals from Scott Hogan and Jack O’Connell in either half saw Chris Wilder’s team ease to the win against the rock-bottom Tractor Boys, in a game which kicked off at 5.15pm, to draw level with City on 88 points.

The Canaries follow with a home game against in-form Blackburn at 7.30pm, knowing one point will secure their promotion to the Premier League.

However, the title race will now go to the final day of the season, when Norwich go to Aston Villa and Sheffield United are at Stoke next Sunday, when all games kick off at 12.30pm.
