Yarmouth returned to the top of Division One with a little help from their neighbours and east coast rivals Gorleston.
The Bloaters beat Stowmarket 2-0 with goals from Gavin Norman and Stewart Roach in the second half while Gorleston surprisingly won 2-0 at previous leaders Brantham.having lost to Yarmouth five days earlier on Easter Monday.
A disappointing goalless first half at a sunny Wellesley which saw Yarmouth have just one shot on goal and that in the last minute, was followed by a much-improved showing after the break and Norman struck within a minute of the restart.
Substitute Roach doubled the lead just after the hour, heading in a Marcus Saunders cross after a Scott Woodcock corner.
But Yarmouth's lead at the top may be short-lived, with Brantham and FC Clacton playing each other on Tuesday: a win for either will take the winner to the top.
