Danny Brown and Colin Wines both hit hat-tricks as hot-shots Blofield United's footballers pounded out an ominous message to their title rivals. The reigning champions went back to the top of the Lovewell Blake Anglian Combination Premier Division table with a stunning 10-0 spree against seventh-placed Norwich Union at Pinebanks. From one match more, they are two points ahead of Acle United, their Yarmouth Road opponents next Saturday. Chris O'Brien (2), Simon Blowers and Stuart Rushbrook also scored for Blofield, while Acle's game against Wroxham Reserves at Bridewell Lane was postponed. Third-placed Cromer are five points behind Blofield with two games in hand after beating Lowestoft Town Reserves 3-2 at Cabbell Park.

Craig Terrington, Darren Terrington and Ben Thompson scored for the Crabs, with Alistair McKenna netting both Lowestoft goals.

Fourth-placed Sheringham dropped precious points in a 5-2 defeat by second-from-bottom Attleborough Town.

Simon Mann (2), Mark Almond, Gregor Devlin and John Vincent netted for Boro, with Kristian Gleave and Darren Nichols replying.

Goals from Matthew Bowles (2), Scott Butler and Roy Coe earned Gorleston Reserves a 4-3 victory over St Andrews, while North Walsham won 6-3 against Sprowston Athletic, whose scorers were Sean Brown, Rikki George and an opponent.

The Halvergate v Brandon and Watton v Beccles Town games were both postponed.

Sixth-placed Wymondham Town claimed the result of the day in Division One, goals from Stuart Catchpole and John Parry earning them a 2-1 win over runaway leaders Dersingham Rovers, whose marksman was Steve Clarke.

From two matches more, Dersingham are now 13 points ahead of second-placed Mattishall, who won 3-1 at Hempnall.

Closest pursuers Southwold and Sprowston Wanderers also dropped valuable points, respectively losing 2-1 (Matthew Barbrook) to Hindringham (Karl Pask and Darren West) and 2-0 at Horsford, for whom Paul Duncan and Daniel Tarr were on target.

Sixth-placed Wells Town beat Dereham Town Reserves 3-1, with Simon Barnes, James Frary and Danny Wyre their scorers.

David Matthews hit a hat-trick for Loddon in their 3-3 draw at Scole, whose scorers were Graham Ruddock (2) and Robert Tooke.

Goals from Allan Gravenor, Kevin Moore and Robin Webdale earned Holt a 3-1 win over Aylsham Wanderers, for whom Colin Emberley replied.

Mulbarton's match with Stalham Town was postponed, which leaves them in the bottom two places.

Kirkley Reserves, losing finalists last season, beat Mundford 2-0 (Richie High and Wayne Twomlow) to reach the climax to this season's Cyril Ballyn Trophy competition.

They will play Poringland, who beat Fakenham Town Res 2-1.
