This will be my last article for the 2006-07 season.

“Good,” I can hear some of you say, including certain individuals at Carrow Road.

I am not going to blow the wind of negativity over all things Norwich City. I am not going to write about the merits of managers past or present. Finance will not come under my humble scrutiny. PR and spin will not be touched as no doubt I will be seen by some to have an over-simplistic view.

I have no interest in the first season ticket deadline.

Numbers could well drop, but a club spokesman will be at great pains to compare us with other club's figures to try to convince us that things are not that bad after all.

The bottom line is that if the product we bought had contained did what it said on the tin, such outpourings of publicity would be totally unnecessary.

No, I want to write about two individuals - both of them unique characters in their own right.

The first is NCISA chairman Roy Blower.

Like him or loathe him (yes, I'm referring to the anonymous people who hide behind the internet), Roy is a tireless campaigner for everything Norwich city, both politically and football-wise. He will lend his time and energy to anyone and to any justifiable cause.

If any person deserves to be the next Lord Mayor of this wonderful city, it is Roy. And I know that when he attends functions in his capacity as first citizen of Norwich, he will attempt to promote and highlight Norwich City Football Club whenever possible.

On behalf of my fellow committee members at NCISA, congratulations to you and your family, Roy.

It would be foolish to think that our chairman will be able to devote as much time to NCISA as he has done for more than 10 years now, but one thing is certain, he will continue to play a big part.

As soon as anything is decided, NCISA will release a press statement about Roy's intentions.

The second person I want to pay tribute to is Lilly Kemp, or 'Tuckswood Lil'. She is a lady known to everyone who follows Norwich City away from home.

On Tuesday night at Kenilworth Road she revealed it was her 77th birthday the previous day. I salute you, madam. Your devotion and love for Norwich City, in my eyes, is unmatched.

You are a true living legend if ever there was one.

May you be able to continue in body and mind for many years to come.

t Peter Grant will be the the guest at the next NCISA forum, on March 22 at Carrow Road. As usual, entry will be free for NCISA members and £2 for non-members.
