High-flying Lowestoft Town were left kicking their heels on Saturday when their scheduled Ryman League Division One North fixture at Brentwood was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
But the leaders don't have long to wait for their next fixture, with another trip to Essex scheduled for tomorrow night (7.45pm) when struggling Maldon Town provide the opposition.
The Blues will go into that game four points clear at the top of the table, with five games in hand on nearest rivals Thamesmead Town, who drew 2-2 at home to VCD Athletic at the weekend. Third placed East Thurrock also dropped points in a 2-2 draw at Tilbury and are seven points adrift of Lowestoft, having played one more match.
