King's Lynn's bid to fight their impending demotion from the Conference set-up has received a timely boost from Conference chairman Brian Lee.
The Linnets are in the process of appealing the Conference's decision to relegate the club over ground grading issues at The Walks after failing to meet an April 1 deadline to begin work on a 250,000 upgrade.
Bobbins confirmed the borough council had already given assurances to the Conference that the work will be completed in time for the 2009/10 kick off and Lee hinted in a recent radio interview with BBC London that league chiefs must show 'compassion' and help clubs with ground grading issues.
