Our chief Norwich City reporter David Freezer has posted his marks following the Canaries’ 1-0 Championship loss at Bournemouth.

• Tim Krul

Well beaten but some good saves along the way to deny Dominic Solanke, Jack Stacey and Josh King. 7

• Max Aarons

Bright runs but limited success when getting forward, deflected cross saw Kenny McLean go close with a header, busy. 7

• Christoph Zimmermann (C)

Turned too easily for the goal, plenty of good use of the ball but too close to Arnaut Danjuma when the danger was still at arm’s length. 6

• Ben Godfrey

Busy first half defensively and decent influence with his passing as usual, better positional discipline than against Preston. 7

• Xavi Quintilla

Plenty of the ball, decent corners, tested Asmir Begovic with a swerving long-range strike. 7

• Oliver Skipp

Really grew into the game. Wasn’t able to thwart everything defensively but worked hard and was still able to provide a creative influence. 7

• Onel Hernandez (replaced by Idah, 74)

Lively but best effort was denied by Begovic. Probably his best game yet this season but became frustrated. 7

• Lukas Rupp (replaced by Hugill, 81)

Really worked hard, potentially his best game yet in a Norwich shirt, showing good energy and understanding with Hernandez in particular. 7

• Kenny McLean (replaced by Vrancic, 69)

Offered aerial option in attack, worked hard but contributed to loss of possession ahead of the goal with a poor touch. 6

• Przemek Placheta

Bright sparks but little end product. Pace is such a threat but perhaps need to bulk up a bit to be of real help defensively. 6

• Teemu Pukki

Crowded out on the whole during a frustrating day, plenty of running but feeding off scraps against a five-man defence. 6

City substitutes

• Mario Vrancic (for McLean, 69)

Added some creative urgency, one wasted free-kick effort into the wall. 6

• Adam Idah (for Hernandez, 74)

Wasn’t able to make the impact of his last two matches. 5

• Jordan Hugill (for Rupp, 81)

Certainly put himself about in a late cameo but couldn’t force a clear chance. 6

DAVE’S MAN OF THE MATCH

Lukas Rupp

Linked particularly well with Hernandez and was full of energy throughout, seeing plenty of the ball in the final third.

A step forward for a player who hasn’t had too many complimentary comments and came close to opening the scoring in the first half with a powerful effort that was well saved.
