Brandon Ladies 3, Brantham Athletic 3
Brandon Ladies dropped points in their title challenge with a 3-3 draw at home to Brantham Athletic.
An early injury to midfielder Michelle Lusardi disrupted the early stages of the game this meant Brandon had to regroup and then struggled to find their usual flowing football. Booth teams had chances to take the advantage in the first half but it finished 0-0 at the break
The visitors forced an early second half corner and with Brandon failing to clear their lines Brandon slotted home the opening goal. Brandon responded well and when Rachel Lynch move out of defence and threaded the ball through for Tiff Forshaw she raced away to tuck the ball past the keeper. Meghan Norwood-Walton then put Brandon in front finishing at the back post from a corner. At this stage it looked if Brandon would take advantage and see the game out but credit to Brantham who hit back with two late goals and looked to be heading for the points until Rachel Lynch headed home from a corner deep into Fergie time for a share of the points.
