Norwich City striker Chris Brown is determined to be fit for Saturday despite having an operation to re-set his broken nose this week.
The 22-year-old, who has been the Canaries' most impressive striker in pre-season, suffered the injury in the 1-0 win against Vitesse Arnhem but the former Sunderland man is pleading with manager Peter Grant to consider him for selection.
The City boss will give Brown right until the last moment to be available against Preston North End on Saturday and, should he prove his fitness, he is likely to line up alongside Jamie Cureton in attack.
