A host of European clubs were tracking the Costa Rican before he joined Dutch side FC Twente, whom he helped win the 2010 top-flight title in Holland.
He joined Fulham in the summer of 2011 and showed flashes of his class, namely a delicious chip against Everton.
However, fell out of favour last term and spent the back end of the season on loan at PSV.
