BUNGAY TOWN U13 GIRLS took on their Halesworth Town counterparts. This was a return fixture of Bungay's last match six weeks ago. Bungay started brightly with constant pressure on Halesworth's goal but were eluded by the woodwork and the goalkeeper until Eva found her way through to slot the ball in to give Bungay the lead.

BUNGAY TOWN U13 GIRLS took on their Halesworth Town counterparts. This was a return fixture of Bungay's last match six weeks ago. Bungay started brightly with constant pressure on Halesworth's goal but were eluded by the woodwork and the goalkeeper until Eva found her way through to slot the ball in to give Bungay the lead. Halesworth started to find their feet and progressed into the Bungay half although did not pose much threat. Bungay were able to push into the Halesworth half frequently and had many chances with Rosie hitting the bar before Eva scored to give Bungay a 2-0 half-time lead. Bungay started the second half where they left off, maintaining the pressure on goal and were soon celebrating Eva's hat-trick and Bungay's third. Bungay passed the ball around well and were in total control of the match. Frankie was unlucky not to score when her neat chip cleared the goalkeeper hitting the top of the post; fortunately it rebounded out for Rosie to tap-in to make it 4-0. Bungay's defenders Chloe, Charlotte and Megan pushed well into the Halesworth half even having chances to shoot. Soon after Eva again broke through down the middle scoring to give Bungay a 5-0 lead. Halesworth scored a late consolation goal to leave a final score Bungay 5, Halesworth 1. An excellent display from Bungay with all players having their best performance of the season. This result pushes Bungay up to third. Next match away at Swanton Herons, Sunday.

BUNGAY TOWN U15 met local rivals Halesworth Town at home in the local derby. Both teams were desperate to leave with a win and earn three crucial points but both teams fought in more ways than one to end the game with a 3-3 draw. Man of the match goes to keeper Tom Wright for his outstanding performance which included a spectacular one-handed save. Credit to all players for their sterling performance.

ST BENETS WASPS U14B were away to Repps Rangers. On a poor pitch, Wasps showed great determination and soon Jamie slotted home after a great through ball from Sam. The Repps keeper made some good saves and Wasps hit the bar before Jamie scored twice with a couple of cool finishes. Sam then hit both posts with a cross shot. The keeper made two fine saves from Callum before he scored with his third chance. An own goal made it 5-0 at half-time. Wasps continued to press the Repps defence again in the second half. Sam continued to put in some good corners. Elliott hit the bar. Jamie scored two more goals and Callum four more, his best from a free kick. Ben also scored with a fine shot after a run and pass from Greg. Repps scored a late consolation goal to make the score 12-1. Some great finishing by Wasps with a good all round team effort, well marshalled by captain Matt. Coopers man of the match was Sam for his best performance of the season so far.

ST BENETS WASPS U9A made an amazing comeback in beating Gorleston FC B 3-2. In an evenly matched Cup game both sides enjoyed periods of dominance. Gorleston made the better of the first half with precise passing to gain a two goal advantage. Wasps had several chances with Harry testing the keeper and James forcing him out to block too. But Gorleston scored on four minutes after a sustained attack on Wasps goal area. Thomas blocked initially but he could do nothing as the rebound was fired in. Ollie and Max played some nice football to give Harry another chance to shoot forcing another save. Wasps defence was pressured as Gorleston passed effectively to create numerous threats. Dan blocked a direct shot at goal and Gorleston won the corner. The ball was played in and bobbled around dangerously before being bundled over the line on nine minutes. Wasps responded with spirit as Max and James both had shots saved and Harry hit the post. A great throw from Ollie put the ball nicely into Harry's path; he struck it well pulling a goal back. Thomas saved several attempts when Gorleston struck from range as Wasps defended more effectively. An equaliser was missed when Harry's shot was blocked and Max put the rebound just over the bar. Wasps settled their game down in the second half. Their creative football reaped plenty of reward. Liam forced the keeper into action winning a corner as he chased down a superb through ball from Sam. Another shot at goal and the rebound went to Dan who cracked his shot just wide. Liam played a ball into the box again for Harry whose shot deflected. Liam followed up but was blocked by the keeper and Harry pounced scoring his second to equalise on 27 minutes. Wasps, now confidently dominated the game with countless chances at goal. Max and James played some inspired football combining well to put Harry into range again to have his shot pushed round for a corner. Max worked a clever corner with James laying the ball back out for him to strike just wide. James scored the match winner on 38 minutes when Max surged in to hit the post. James quickly tucked the deflected ball beyond the keeper to put Wasps ahead. Gorleston came close in the final seconds when a ball from a corner was just cleared off the line.
