BUNWELL Ladies travelled to pre-league favourites, Bury Doves, for their first match of the season. This was an entertaining end-to-end encounter and the supporters witnessed some excellent football.

This was an entertaining end-to-end encounter and the supporters witnessed some excellent football.
During the first half Bunwell dominated in good spells and were rewarded with well-taken goals from Lucy Kean and Sam Howard. This was a committed display by all the team, who defended and attacked as a unit.
The second half saw a further Bunwell goal by Rebecca Humphreys direct from a corner, and a penalty save from Cara Skinner to cap an excellent team performance.
Player of the match was Rebecca Humphreys, who battled well and provided sound distribution from midfield.
